The Palatine - Stoke Newingtons Latest New Bar - Check it out |
|

I have spent the last 10 years in London working For London Met Uni's student venues and have a wealth of experience in bar & venue management, event programming and promotion, I have also recently been involved in Mutate Britain as their designated premises supervisor for two month long art shows at the end of 2009. Other projects I have been involved in this year are a multitude of festival bar teams and competing in the london triathlon for MacMillan Cancer Support. I have a vision to make The Palatine into a good quality local pub serving great wines and local real ales with a good selection of spirits and a classic but simple cocktail menu, I'm looking forward to getting involved with the local community and have plans to develop a pub quiz, salsa night and provide a regular space for the ragged university with occasional live music events at the weekend featuring a wide range of music from classical to blues, acoustic to jazz. We've already got plenty of artwork from local artists on display and will soon be opening a permanently installed "Micro Gallery", for the future we have planned a full refurbishment of the basement area to allow us to use the space as a gallery when required for private views and have already had a play reading in this function space. If you would like to use the space for meetings, or have any kind of group that might like to use the space please do get in touch, we've had interest from a singing group and from people who would like to showcase spoken word so far!! With the team all ready to go we are very excited to be entering this new phase of the pub's life, Jamie will provide a great stock range with a well managed cellar, Cyril will be here for salsa nights and to help plan events and Steve will be here to keep you up to date with what's going on. I will always be available for any questions or comments so please feel free to contact me on: Mob 07887776788, Email:
