Last year a presenter of Resonance FM's gLASS sHRIMP show decided to create a monthly night to celebrate the year 1969, and 1969 Baby! was born! The club ran for 9 months and it's relaxed free Sunday stylings proved popular with Stokey locals, musicians, 60's aficionados and curious passers-by alike. 1969 had it's finale in December, but this February, The Random Year Generator Club begins. The set up will be the same as 1969- bands will perform covers & original music, DJs will spin sounds from the specific year, and we'll have some spoken word & multimedia stuff too. The premise is different- every month will be a different year, picked at random the previous month. The years will be from 1963- 1975 (minus 1969!) for no other reason than that's the music the host loves the most. The first year the Random Year Generator Club will celebrate is 1968, which was chosen randomly at he last 1969 Baby! in December 2009. Come to February's event to find out what year March will be!
