Along with homies like Le Corps Mince De Francoise and Top Billin, Zebra and Snake are bringing new Finnish music to global ears and you better know that they come correct. Taking the best of the 80's, a whole lot of dramz and some plain old Nordic weirdness for good measure, this is a duo you're going to be hearing a lot from in the coming months. Nuff' Blog lovin was given to their awesome debut single Colours, making its accompanying, seizure inducing, video an internet hit. Heads up, You're gonna want to get down the front for them. Race ya!
Dansette Junior are 3 guys from Kentish Town armed with synths, drums, the occasional guitar and a whole lot of chutzpah! Recently championed by the mighty Steve Lamacq, they are racking up the 'ones to watch' tips like nobody's business. Gaining a fast rep for their energetic live shows and witty lyrics, it won't be long before DJ are all up in your face and running tings in the world of electro-pop. WHOO, ALRIGHT!
Hailing from Toronto, Canada, these guys were suddenly thrust into the limelight after their demo found its way into the hands of legendary diva, Sir Elton of John. Yes, REALLY!! Playing the kind of energetic new wave rock that you'd freak out to if your name was Blair or Andi and you were in a John Hughes film, DYTR's perky noise easily lends itself to the dance floor. As if to prove the point the recent remix of their track 'Sea of Love' by Le Tigre's JD Samson has been getting bums shaking in indie discos europe wide. Better shake yours, son!
We are big fans of these kids. A one guy, one girl duo from South East London playing no nonsense, bass heavy, dirty punk rock like you don't even know. Making enough noise for way more than two, they're a big stand out amongst the current crop of bands to emerge from the London DIY scene. You better fucking recognise, BITCHES!
"... channelling Henry Rollins on black coffee and X-Ray Spex on Panda Pops. Here's to the gall of them." - The Guardian
Club Kids made good, Bunny Come are a brand spanking new electronic pop band based in London. Though they make their live debut at Mofofest tonight, lead vocalist Harmony Boucher is no stranger to the stage having been part of Kylie's promo band for her 'Two Hearts' video and tour. Teaming up here with Nicole Marie Bettencourt Coelho and Paul Ressel they're a young band with a lot of promise. You want personality? They got it! You want style? They got it! You want tunes? Hell, They got them too. GET. HERE. EARLY.
