Pissinboy was originally Andrea Pirovano's solo project (guitar & vocals), and became a band in november 2007 when Tel (bass) and Graham Mushnik (drums) joined Piro.
Based in Stoke Newington, London, Pissinboy sounds quite dirty and low-fi, with elements of pop, folk, garage, British bored-punk...
When Tel left the band, Pissinboy became a duet and Graham decided to play the keyboard as well as the drums.
Glassman came up on both sides of the atlantic and displays his transatlantic roots in his music. The soundscapes created are ethereal with a blend of countrified funk. The lyrics are emotive, meaningful and full of depth and drive. After travelling across the Americas he returned to london to dive back into his love of music.
This is experimental, lyric-driven electro-folk. A sonorous conversation between guitar, violin and voice. Harp, Synth and live sampling filter hooks, loops and mesmeric pop sensibility.
This duo : Nurtured by Wales' intrinsic oral tradition of storytelling, ancient poetry and decadent, passionate rock. Buffered by busking on the summer streets of North America. Now present in London a new core of energy.
Leaves on Fire have recently expanded their lineup from a two piece to a four piece band. They now consist of Toufique Ali, a Bristol born, New Cross, London based Singer/ Songwriter and drummer Raymond Li (Bruster Li). New into the fray comes Neil Watters on Bass guitar and Girish Balachandran on Lead Guitar. They have formed a musical marriage of acoustic folk with a passion for heavier rock styles in order to become an unfashionable behemoth of pop and rock - to be performed at electric speeds. They have also been described as 'lo fi acoustic garage rock' by Will at the Electroacoustic Club in East London
