Local residents were pleased when Hackney Homes secured the eviction of a tenant who was intimidating neighbours in her neighbourhood.

Following complaints from residents, Hackney Homes' Anti Social Behaviour Team in partnership with the Police secured a closure order on the address in the Queensbridge area and successfully gained a possession order from the Court for the property. The eviction warrant was executed on 16 May 2011 and the tenant was evicted.

Neehara Wijeyesekera, Head of Tenancy and Leasehold Services, Hackney Homes said: “We take issues like this very seriously and we urge residents to report this to us on 020 8356 3310 or at the local Neighbourhood Housing Office so that we can work together to address these quickly”.
