A tenant who endured a long period of Anti-Social behaviour from a noisy neighbour has expressed thanks following the successful resolution of their problems after the troublemaker vacated their property.

The tenant, who lives in the North East of Hackney wrote in to the ASB officer involved to say “I have not had the chance to thank you properly for all your help, support and advice during the ASB we experienced over the past couple of years - it finally ended in February 2011. I think you are amazing, very dedicated and very good at your job.”

She adds:” People coming through to you, stuck in the same situation as we were will not be disappointed because you will do everything possible to help them. Now, all that is left for me to say is - I sincerely thank you for helping us to live normal lives again – peace at last.”

Neehara Wijeyesekera, Head of Tenancy and Leasehold Services, Hackney Homes said: “It’s great that the resident took time out to write the heartfelt letter to us and our message to anyone in the same situation is ‘Don’t live with it, report it’.”
