Local singer songwriter Hannah O'Gorman makes it through to the Regional Finals of Live and Unsigned UK

Singer songwriter Hannah O'Gorman based in Stoke Newington and recently made it through to the Regional Finals of Live and Unsigned UK

Hannah O’Gorman from London has wowed the judging panel of the UK’s biggest original music competition and sailed through the audition stage of Live and Unsigned.  Hannah will be competing against the most talented bands and artists in the country at the Regional Final Showcase of Live and Unsigned 2012 – all in a bid to make the Grand Final at The O2!

Hannah battled against hundreds of auditionees to secure a spot in the live shows. Acts that made it through auditions will now take part in a live Regional Final Showcase in front of hundreds of spectators. The best acts will also get the opportunity to play at some of the biggest festivals in the UK from over 100 Festival slots including Beach Break Live, Boardmasters, Bearded Theory, Strawberry Fields and Osfest. This year’s competition also offers acts an extra chance for exposure as being filmed for broadcasting on the Sky TV Network in an exclusive fly-on-the-wall documentary.

Having taken influence from artists such as Joni Mitchell, Jeff Buckley, and Aretha Franklin, Hannah O’Gorman produces a captivating sound that’s both chilled and honest with soulful twists. The songs are memorable for their lyrical content, and the raw talent of a stunning voice needs nothing other than the rhythmical accompaniment of her acoustic guitar. Hannah studied Performing Arts Music at the prestigious Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, founded by Sir Paul McCartney, where she fine tuned her natural talent through four years of study, collaborating with other artists. Gracing venues across London with her voice and guitar. Inimitable, beautiful, and easy-listening, her music draws a breathless quiet, in even the noisiest of London settings.
