For the first time Hackney Bloco – a fusion of Samba drumming and modern music is coming to Hackney Downs.

The free sessions Wednesday 1 August to 16 September, from 5-8pm are open to all ages and abilities - everyone is encouraged to come along and give it a try!

These dance music fusion events are part of Hackney Council’s Parks for Life, 2012 programme and are being run by Rising Tide.

Parks for Life is a series of free weekly events in six of Hackney Council's parks – Clissold, Hackney Downs, London Fields, Millfields, Shoreditch, and Springfield. Activities which usually run in the morning or afternoon include Tai Chi; Roller Skating, Ballet, Yoga Bugs, Rugby Tots – an introduction to rugby for the under 6’s.
