The area's first dedicated food & drink market will see artisan producers selling breads, cakes, cheeses, meat, game, fruit & veg, chutneys and pickles placed alongside street food stalls offering everything from homemade sausages and salt beef burgers to Japanese katsu curry and quesadillas.
The market is 11am to 4pm, every Saturday, and is opposite M&S on Mare St, in St John's Church gardens.

St John at Hackney church is an iconic building in the heart of Hackney. The Georgian church is surrounded by beautiful grounds which include a thirteenth-century church tower. Following a major restoration, the church gardens are well used as spaces for play, exercise and contemplation in the midst of a busy shopping area.
We are a Church of England church with inclusive and vibrant worship, where we aim to strike a balance between awe and intimacy. Children are especially welcome. Our two schools are the Urswick Academy and St John and St James primary school.
The church building is a hub of community activity. It is also a major concert venue. In 2011 we hosted the Little Noise festival and in 2012 Songs of Praise recorded two shows in the church.
